Maths (HL)

Each week you will either choose a maths goal to work on at home, complete 20 IXL questions or complete 2+ pages from a workbook. You need to think about what your goals are and how you can meet them, how best you learn and then make an informed decision as to what you are going to do.

MATHS GOAL:
You will need to write the goal and an example on your own copy of this google doc. In order to achieve your goal, you need to learn an appropriate strategy and practice. This can be done by creating and answering your own questions, practicing the strategy on IXL Maths, creating a POW-Toon or any other ways you can think of.

MATHS WORKBOOK: Ask Miss Schooley for a workbook, and complete the work on a doc or in your maths book. You need to choose a chapter which will extend your maths knowledge or allow you to practice a skill that you are learning.

IXL is a mathematics learning website that is completely aligned to the New Zealand national curriculum, providing comprehensive coverage of each learning objective.

Not only are there relevant questions to each year level and learning area, but they also show you how to work out questions you get wrong in an effective way.

Notes:
- Not all students work at their year level (some work higher; some work lower). Change the year level on the left-hand side, and find the category that is relevant for the current week's work.

- The free version will only allow you to do 20 questions per day, so keep that in mind (i.e. don't spend your 20 questions on questions that are too easy; the point is that you learn and solidify your learning done in class or through your maths goal)

Term 4 Week 1 - Algebra
