Your task is to choose a creative form of expression and show how that form of expression communicates ideas, emotions, traditions, and/or beliefs through creating your own.

Possible forms of expression: Dance, Music, Haka, Tattoos, Piercings, Fashion, Make-up, Art, movies,  traditions etc
You can do this individually, in pairs or in groups of 3.

You must include the following in your book as part of your S.A.T research. All of this must be completed before you can create you own.
  1. Key questions to lead your inquiry
  2. A Breakdown of that form- how does it allow us to express ourselves? What elements make up this form of expression? e.g. music expresses ideas, emotions, traditions and ideas through lyrics, instruments, tempo, videos, pace etc Art uses colour, shapes, depth, texture, font, text, images, shading etc What is each element? - definition of each must be included
  3. 8-15 examples of your form from various times throughout history (including at least 1 traditional example). With explanations of what emotions, ideas, beliefs and traditions each example communicates and how. Can print photos or just write title and notes in book.
  4. A timeline (this can be written, a graphic timeline (images) or a multimedia timeline) This must include all important people, situations, inventions, innovations, examples, events that had an impact on your form (e.g. World Wars, The great depression, famous people that lived in that time, economy etc).
  5. Clear explanation of how this form of expression has changed over time.
