You need to draft these into your assessment book. Then you need to copy and paste them into the correct table here.
Some examples are below.
Berkley’s motto is ‘take up the challenge’. Although I am only a year seven, I have taken up many challenges over the year, such as lunchtime promotions like badminton and gymnastics. Some highlights for me were Aongatete camp because there were lots of exciting challenges for me to experience and I learnt a lot about my classmates. Something I really enjoyed doing was the focus because it meant testing my mind to remember my lines. Berkley has helped me a lot with my writing and answering questions with more detail.
At the start of the year I was as nervous and knew no one, but as the terms went by, little by little I made some awesome friends and I can’t wait to be a year eight!
Our school motto is “take up the challenge” I can say that is exactly what I’ve done this year. This is my first year at intermediate and so far I’ve been apart of so many things that I’ve lost count. Some of the ones I’m most proud of are: Being two main parts in the focus, being entered in the Otago maths, and entering two ICAS tests.
My highlights of this year were camp because I was challenged to succeed to my best ability. Also I loved being a host at information evening because I felt so important as always with my leadership roles.
This year I’ve worked on being a risk-taker, as I’m sometimes afraid to try new things. I’ve done this by putting myself out there and giving it a go. I’ve made special friends that I hope to continue my Berkley adventure with. Berkley has helped me become the part of me I thought wasn’t there.
I look forward to the challenges that await me next year.
This year I challenged myself to be a good role model. I have achieved this by recruiting year 7s for roving reporters and playing inline hockey. This year I took part in cafe culture, Otago maths and various ICAS tests which helped me improve my problem solving skills. I also took part in camp with my class and represented the school in our drama studio at the info evening.
I have improved in maths and upon finishing up my last year at Berkley, the highlight is being able to play in A-grade, above my age group, in inline Hockey.
“We care, we share, we dare.” Throughout my time at Berkley I have attempted to fulfil these three criteria; By participating in cafe culture, Otago Math, Camp and Te Reo.
IT and Media is a passion of mine which opened doors to many extracurricular opportunities. This year I have continued as a Roving Reporter and am part of the Management Team. I was able to go on numerous field trips, for example I went to Aongatete Lodge to film with mish mash TV. Another IT related opportunity I participated in is being sound technician for our team focus.
I have also excelled academically in math and writing. Now, I have found myself enjoying writing a lot more than previous school years thanks to learning new creative skills and completing fun writing exercises.
I have enjoyed being a Berkley student and think that the school has thoroughly prepared me for what lies ahead.
This year I have taken up many challenges, firstly I have learnt piano, started inline hockey, participated in lunch time promotions and gone to camp. On the academic side of things, I have been apart of the roving reporters team, trialled for the spelling bee, had a speaking role in focus and participated in Otago maths.
Some challenges this year have been maths, because at my old school we didn’t learn the things we’ve learnt this year. Cross country was also a challenge because I had to race against a lot more people than I’m used too. So far I have become better at math, and I think doing math at Berkley has helped me significantly. Another challenge is trying not to talk when I’m not meant to, I have tried to overcome and, although I have improved, I’m not quite where I want to be.
I have improved at reading and writing over the year. Highlights this year have been getting into the 200m semis, being in the ‘A’ grade hockey team, making new friends and coming 39th in cross country.
I have enjoyed my time as a year seven at Berkley and I’m looking forward to being a year eight and enjoying everything that 2015 has to offer.
